Liturgical Ministry

Being a Liturgical Minister is a great way to get involved in your parish. There are several options here at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary:
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion has a deep faith and love for the Eucharist. They are the kind of person who loves to show hospitality to others and serves with a humble heart. An Extraordinary Minister must be a baptized, confirmed Catholic, in good standing with the Church who is registered at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary.
Lectors
Lectors have a prayerful spirit and a love for Scripture. A lector not only proclaims the Word of God during the Mass but lives the Word in their daily life. A lector must have good speaking skills, be a Baptized and Confirmed Catholic in good standing with the Church, and be a registered member of SJHOM.
Altar Servers
Altar servers have a powerful spirit and a love for the Eucharist. An Altar Server helps the priest during Mass. In order to serve, an Altar server must have already had their First Holy Communion.
Ushers and Greeters
Ushers and Greeters are hospitable, welcoming men and women who desire to help make our church a safe and friendly place for everyone.

Music Ministry
Consider making a joyful return to the Lord of your time and talent. We are always looking for gifted, committed musicians to serve our parish. Our parish offers a wide variety of opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists to share their gifts within the worshiping community.
Adult Choir (10:00 AM)
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the church.
Contemporary Choir (2:00 PM)
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the church.
Children's Choir
All children of the parish, ages 7-14, are invited to join. This is an opportunity for children to find their voices, learn to read music, and be involved in the ministry of leading song at Mass. There is no cost to join the Children's Choir.
Please contact the parish office for more information.
